Training for machine geometry customers.
What is industrial alignment?
We are talking about the measurement and alignment of machine components in an industrial environment.
The Straightness of guides, the Flatness of flanges, the Parallelism of Rolls, the concentricity of bores and the co-linearity of drive shafts are all examples of real world industrial alignment applications.
Why do we measure and align these things?
We align these things because the quality of the alignment is directly relevant to the life expectancy of the machine and or the quality of the product manufactured with that machine. It is an essential part of both professional machine assembly and repair.
What do we need training for?
Training is the best way to learn how to do these jobs properly and rapidly. Geometrical machine measurement isn’t child’s play, it is a skill and sometimes it is also a craft. New methods require new skills which are based on old skills.
Training creates expertise and confidence. .......... Training creates quality.
Why can’t I just read the manual?
Only 20% of the training is about pushing the buttons on the instrument. 80% of the training is about using the instrument in the best way possible to accomplish your specific goal. This requires human interaction. As long as we have to build and assembly real machines with real people ( and not just print them out ) we will require human skills learned by human interaction.
What does the training look like?
We usually divide traing into 2 parts:
1. Theoretical training: … What does the instrument do. Software etc
2. Practical on-site training: Adapt the instruments to your needs, your job usually on your site.
What does it cost?
We charge daily rates like any other service.
